USAGE TIPS: If you're new to nicotine, start with 1/3 piece and chew slowly for 20-30 minutes to maximize absorption. DIRECTIONS FOR USE Adults (19 years and older): For smokers desiring to quit, chew 1 piece 1-20 times per day and needed. When you have reduced to 1-2 pieces of gum per day, consider stopping use. Do not chew more than one piece of gum at a time. Side effects which may be a sign of improper chewing such as light-headedness, nausea, hiccups. Discard the gum.

Avoid drinking acidic beverages (Coffee, tea, soft drinks, alcohol, citric juices) while chewing the gum as they may interfere with the effectiveness of the gum. Nicotine gum is designed to release nicotine only when chewed. No harmful effects should occur if you accidentally swallow a piece. For the first two weeks to 1 month, chew the gum slowly until the taste becomes strong. When the taste is strong, rest the gum between your mouth’s jaw and cheek. After the taste has faded, resume chewing the gum until the taste becomes strong again. Keep repeating these steps for about 30 minutes. Chew a piece of gum whenever you feel the urge to smoke. For smokers not willing or ready to quit abruptly: Use the gum to replace some of the cigarettes you smoke in order to increase the time between cigarettes and reduce smoking as much as possible. Use one piece of nicotine gum instead of smoking a cigarette. Try to stop smoking completely as soon as you feel ready and no later than 24 weeks after starting treatment. After quitting smoking gradually, reduce the number of nicotine gum chewed per day DURATION OF USE For occasional use only. Do not use for more than six months without consulting a doctor
