Description

We have gone to great lengths to source premium cacao from the Vraem district, province of Cusco, Peru. The compilation of our beans are true Criollo and no CCN51 hybrid cacao is present. GIDDY YO cacao has the best quality cacao in large volume in Peru. Our cacao truly is unique and premium. 

As our supplier explains, we have "the highest grade lowest microbial, lowest cadmium and heavy metal cacao in the world." We offer you the Ferrari / Bently of cacao; always lab tested, certified organic, Fair Trade (at supplier level), common allergen-free (free from nuts/ peanuts /dairy/ soy/ gluten etc.), non GMO, vegan, non-deodorized, creamy and delicious!

Our cacao is hand-selected, fermented and dried to perfection, crushed into nibs, the skins removed or 'winnowed' and ground into a liquid. The liquefied cacao mass is transferred to a mechanical press where the majority of cacao butter mechanically pressed out, then solidified and packaged for your enjoyment. Our cacao butter is clean and pure, is not deodorized nor treated with toxic chemicals, and is low temperature processed from start to finish to maximize quality and taste while maintaining nutritional integrity.

Food safety is of primary importance and we are happy to share with you that our Peruvian partner holds the following certifications; Organic, Fair Trade, Kosher, HACCP, and BRC Certification. Further steps have been taken to ensure the cacao is non-irradiated and common allergen-free.

Suggested use: Create your own body care, handmade chocolate, desserts, or grate into hot beverages (coffee, chaga tea, elixirs, hot chocolate etc.). Use in your cooking (great for frying) and baking (brownies, cakes, cookies, etc.), and various other desserts. You'll definitely want to try making your own dark chocolate by adding GY cacao butter to our powder or paste, and sweeten with honey or maple syrup (or not)- it’s easier than you may think!

We'll leave you with this idea- create next level hot chocolate by adding our cacao powder to your milk of choice (our favourite is Cha's coconut milk), grating GY cacao butter and adding a sweetener of choice. To level up add GY maca and vanilla, GY medicinal mushroom extracts, herbs & spices of choice, maybe some mint essential oil, and voila, health in a mug!
